Please note: This is a very challenging hike!
- Locate the trail entrance in the parking area to start your hike.
- At the top of the hill, head toward the bridge, but do not cross it. Turn right at the bridge to stay on the trail, which makes a sharp U-turn and goes uphill.
- You will come to wooden steps in the trail, which lead you up. Start walking.
- Keep going up, up, and up and then go up some more.
- Just when you think you are there, go up some more!
- When you reach the peak, keep walking, spotting the yellow trail markers on the trees. This is all level hiking and is beautiful.
- As you walk across the top of the mountain, the post you are looking for will be on your right.
- To return to the parking area, either turn around and go back the way you came OR keep walking across the top of the mountain, all level walking, and it will eventually start to head downhill.
- After a few sharp āSā turns, you will see a sign for Hearth 1.
- Continue on the path in the same direction, past Hearth 2, past Hearth 3, and past Hearth 4 signs.
- Cross the bridge and turn left, following the path. It will bring you back around to the first bridge that you did not cross but cross it now and return to the parking area.
